CLIMATE CHANGE
At SEF Foundation, we believe that the economic future of any community is dependent on the economic capacity of its constituent’s youth, and people as a whole. We therefore tailor various grassroots capacity building initiatives towards empowering community youth and women to maximize their potentials and local resources while achieving their personal dreams and ultimately contributing to community and economic development.
Our Climate Change Programs

Youth for sustainable Climate Change
The primary beneficiaries of this technology are the schools, Army barracks, Youth & Women groups, prisons, police, hotels and farmers’ cooperatives dealing in banana, rice, pineapple, maize and cotton. The famers shall realise increase in incomes through sale of agricultural waste for value addition. Youth dealing in transportation business will earn from transportation of raw materials from the gardens and roadside markets to the briquettes’ processing sites.

Greening Uganda
The SEF Foundation has been championing massive tree planting campaigns throughout the country with help of the youth through their Youth Go Green organization as one of the mitigation and adaptation strategies on climate change. The organization has so far planted and distributed over 2.8million trees in different parts of the country. We target to plant 10million trees every 5years in an effort to improve the adaptive capacities of communities, restore degraded landscapes, wetland restoration and combat climate driven disasters.
